Elise & Alec

Elise and bridesmaids got ready at the bride's parents house, where I photographed the dresses, bouquets and shoes in and around their landscaped backyard.  I was excited to see one of my former bride's, Rachel, appear as one of Elise's bridesmaids and one of another former client's bridesmaids, Marnie, was there also! My favourite picture from this part of the day is of the bridesmaid's looking up at Elise as they spread out the train upon dressing her. So much love, fun and friendship shines in their eyes! Another fond memory I have of this day involved the only way to get Elise's dear grandmother to smile for a photo by saying the word, "sex!" Elise and Alec were then married in early February, at Fitzroy Gardens. Loved capturing the emotion flash across Alec's face as Elise walked down the garden aisle. Even shade under a canopy of trees provided perfect light for the ceremony. And how cool is that royal blue classic car? Another favourite photo of mine is of a guest congratulating Elise having just married. Portraits of the bride and groom and wedding party were taken around Fitzroy's beautiful gardens, some bushland near Hobart's Royal Botanical Gardens, and along the wharf in Bellerive. My absolute favourite portrait has to be the one of Elise hugging Alec, heart to heart over his shoulder, with that look of pure love on her face...although other angles of the two of them embracing in the gardens come in as close seconds. Always helps having a fun wedding party, which this one was! Enjoyed the group shots on the pier, with everyone jumping for joy and sharing lots of laughter. Lots of clapping and cheering throughout reception speeches, and a precious father-daughter dance...
